Jottings - Sancharam Club

After lunch we went to the Asianet studio. The studio complex of the first private television channel in Malayalam, Asianet, is situated in a small village called Puliyarakkonam. The shooting of the programme, “Kannadiyum Kuttikalum’ in which all the club members participated, was highly interesting. The famous media

personnel and the chief of Asianet News, Mr. T.N. Gopakumar answered our questions. The programme was telecasted on 13th and 14th of September on Asianet. With the thrill of participating in the shooting, we reached the zoo in Thiruvananthapuram. We walked around there, watching the animals, birds and reptiles revelling in the garden, ponds and cages. Next destination was Napier Museum. It was founded in 1855. There we got the opportunity to see the remnants of our History and culture. We also visited the Sree Chitra Art Gallery.

		The sights in the Snake Park near the zoo were also a rare experience. Then we went to the Kovalam Beach which is only 12 km away from the city of Thiruvananthapuram. When we left for our rooms to sleep, all of us said in one accord, “we will come definitely for the next tour of the Sancharam Club and the coming tours also....
